For Series 4 (1979), Mego introduced its first line of figures exclusive to the Micronauts: the Aliens. Membros was a red figure with an exposed glow-in-the-dark brain and weapons for hands. The hydra-pack attached to his back and a small, flexible hose led to the Hydra-laser, which like his other blaster was attached to the wrist cuff by the 5mm system.
Variant
Membros' original brain was yellow-orange, and like the other Series 4 Aliens, he was reissued in Series 5 with a light green brain. The later brain had improved light retention for the glow-in-the-dark feature.
Microman
While Membros himself was the unprecedented creation of Mego, his hydra-pack and hose had their origins with Takara's Hoodman.
